It is truly an understatement to say that the word author holds mystical powers.

It changes not only the way that others perceive you but also the way you see yourself.
Before, I was muddling through expectations, disappointments, and a fear of failure.
Now, since I have appointed myself a romance author, I am muddling through expectations, disappointments, and a definite fear of failure while loving every second.
That is what makes every author great.
That hunger to make someone fall in love with one of your characters makes you look for good traits in every new person you meet.
The anticipation of creating a world where someone can get lost and find themselves again makes you appreciate every sunrise as you visualize it in your own words.
Every villain you meet suddenly has a tragic backstory that will only be revealed later, say, in the chapter where you compete for a promotion.
The world and words intertwine to blur every subtle boundary into a plot twist for the next chapter.
And I love every second of it.
It took me some time to realize that my happy place in life is behind a keyboard, arguing with myself about how corny I can really be. Or realizing that the messed-up scenes in my head can make others feel more normal. It gave me the courage to be vulnerable and put my words out there for others to enjoy.

Either way, I hope my words reach you and let you know that it is perfectly normal to demand happiness for yourself, to change your mind, and to be your authentic self.
